Terms of Service
These terms govern the nopad personalized book service operated by Question Base AI Inc. By placing an order or contributing to a book, you agree to these terms.
Ordering a book
When you purchase a book, Shopify checkout shows the price, payment and delivery details for your order. Contact help@questionbase.com about changes, cancellations or a problem with your purchase.
Contributing stories and photos
You must be an adult and have permission to share the stories, names and photos you submit, including permission from a parent or guardian when contributing information about a child. You retain ownership of your contributions and allow us and our service providers to use them to interview you, write and illustrate the book, prepare a preview and fulfill your order.
Keep interview and preview links private. Share them only with people you authorize to contribute to or view the book. Anyone with a working link can access the corresponding interview or draft.
Reviewing the book
We use AI to help write and illustrate your book. Check the preview for accuracy and suitability and contact us if something needs to change. See our privacy policy for how we handle your information.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or free from mistakes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Question Base AI Inc., its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Question Base AI Inc. harmless from any claim arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) content you submit, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any third party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
Copyright and DMCA notices
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content available through the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice to help@questionbase.com (Attn: DMCA Agent) that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing and enough detail for us to locate it;
- your contact information (address, telephone number, and email);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
We respond to valid notices as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, including removing infringing material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminating the accounts of repeat infringers.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version is always posted on this page, with the update date at the top reflecting the latest revision. For material changes that affect your order or your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
